Thank you so much for responding here my very great friend!  I have indeed received your e mail response and have just now completed my answer.  Much relieved that all is well.  I completely understand what you are saying about silence.  I admit I overreacted a bit.

Ah my friend, I am very frightened at your sudden silence.  Life may take to away from things to attend to far more important things.  But in the absence of any communication with you in a long time I am beside myself with concern.  please tell me that everything is OK with you my friend.  I sent you an e mail last week on this as well.

NOIR CITY Annual #5 Now Available!

Need something to read between all those screenings at NOIR CITY: Hollywood? NOIR CITY Annual #5 features insightful essays on several of the films playing during the fest. There's Jake Hinkson's interview with Edgardo Krebs regarding the resurrection of Richard Wright's Native Son, which plays April 19. Milan Hain explores the career of director/actor Hugo Hass in his article Forgotten émigré. Hass' The Other Woman screens on April 6, with Sunset Blvd. Last but not least, Annual #5 features the late, great Ray Zone's article on 3-D film noir, including background on Man in the Dark, which will screen on a double bill with Inferno at the Aero Theatre as part of the 15th Anniversary festivities.

Copies will be available at the Egyptian theatre all during the festival, but if you can't make it to the shows—the book is only a click away on Amazon.com. All proceeds go directly to the rescue and restoration of vintage noir film.
