Where Film Noir Lives...Too!
Bonhams and TCM are proud to present "What Dreams Are Made Of: A Century of Movie Magic at Auction as Curated by TCM," a selection of costumes, props, artwork, and scripts from some of the greatest Hollywood films of all time. A portion of the auction proceeds will go to the Film Foundation, a nonprofit established by Martin Scorsese in 1990 to protect and preserve motion picture history.
This auction will feature top-tier collectibles from the storied history of Hollywood, crossing all genres.
Featured items include the iconic lead statuette of the Maltese Falcon from the 1941 film of the same name; the polka-dot dress worn by Joan Crawford as Mildred Pierce; John Huston's hand-written and typed draft of the screenplay for The Treasure of the Sierra Madre; Steve McQueen's seamen's summer white uniform worn in The Sand Pebbles; the suit, cape and cowl worn by Michael Keaton as Batman in Batman Returns; and much more.
Highlights will preview in Los Angeles October 22-27 and in New York City November 20-25. The sale will be held in New York on Monday, November 25, with live online bidding available as well.
